South Tampa System Upgrades

Peoples Gas is upgrading our natural gas system serving several South Tampa neighborhoods. The upgrades, launched in March 2025, are expected to take several months to complete and will help to improve system reliability and capacity to support the growing needs of the community. The work is being completed within zones that span the areas depicted in the map below.

We prioritize safety and we’re coordinating with various agencies to minimize disruptions. You may see clearly marked construction zones and additional barricades in the area.

You’ll find details about the work in your area, the estimated timeline, how your service may or may not be impacted, and what you may need to do to help us during this process.
