Companies value utility’s service and commitment to its customers
For the third year in a row and fifth time since 2016, businesses across Florida have rated Peoples Gas highest in customer satisfaction in the south region of the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Gas Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study. As it did last year, Peoples Gas again set the bar for the highest score in the history of the Gas Utility Business Study.
The online study measures business customer satisfaction in six categories: safety and reliability, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, price, communications, and customer contact. Peoples Gas led the South Region in all satisfaction drivers this year.

Peoples Gas is investing in its infrastructure and technologies to ensure a safe and resilient natural gas system and to meet evolving customer expectations and growth. Earlier this year, the company announced plans to build, own and operate its first renewable natural gas facility in partnership with a dairy located near Gainesville.

The J.D. Power 2021 Gas Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study is based on nearly 9,000 online interviews with business customers of 59 natural gas utilities across the continental United States. Peoples Gas ranked highest in business customer satisfaction in the south region, which includes eleven states. The utility previously led the south region in the 2020, 2019, 2016 and 2016 calendar-year Gas Utility Business Studies.
